Crazy About Glass
Anita Serafin, the artist behind Crazy About Glass, has been working with glass since 2001. Inspired by colors and attracted to symmetry, she found balance in adding the mandala symbol to her art. The mesmerizing patterns are created with glass powders or enamels. Each piece is created in their home studio in Penfield NY.
Many layers of glass fused together in a kiln at about 1500 degrees. Each piece is cold worked on a grinder, tiles saw and even hand pads. Each piece requires at least 3 firings. I use a lot of powered glass and layering.
